Made with a Vintage American quilt, with textiles dating from the late 1800's, and early 1900's, with a tough ecru cotton backing.
Mid-weight batting (padding) with a lovely drape.
The textiles are pretty sturdy, however there are some modern repairs (see images) and a few small pin holes.
This is part of the story of the quilt and the coat.
Care will be required and some repairs will likely be needed later in the garment life.
There is some staining to the inside of the coat, so it is not so suitable to be worn inside out.
Shawl collar design with Patch pockets and high side slits. Trimmed with 100% cotton Olive Green binding.
Sizing is ONE SIZE fits most. Will fit UK size 8-12
I am 5ft 5.5" and UK size 10/12
Body length from neck seam to hem - 125cm
Width underarm to underarm - 62cm
The drop shoulder fit is designed to be generous and oversize and can be worn with a belt (not included) should you wish.
The quilt has been thoroughly cleaned.
