Here is a Duster Coat, made from a patchwork linen textile made up from a wonderful selection of vintage linen pieces from France, Hungary and Germany.
I have collected the linen pieces over years. Some come from beautiful French linen sheets, some from French, Hungarian and German feedsacks which were hand-woven on narrow looms in the 1930’s and 40’s. Textures and weights vary but all are substantial and fairly heavy, making for a wonderful feeling garment.
The combination of whites and creams and oatmeal colours make the patchwork really come to life. This is truly a One Of A Kind heirloom garment.
Loose shape, with a generous ‘inset sleeve’ cut at the shoulder for a neat fit. 3/4 sleeve length and rounded collar with large patch pockets. Trimmed with 100% cotton ecru herringbone binding.
