This Coat is made from a heavy weight double sided vintage wool blanket with a checked pattern, in Light Blue and Oatmeal.
Trimmed with 100% cotton herringbone tape in Mid Grey for edge binding and inside seam covering.
Duster Coat style, open front, with side slits. Could be worn with a belt though belt is not included.
There are no pockets, in part not to disturb the 'long line' look of the coat, but also because I wanted this to be as long as possible and I used every last piece of the blanket available. The collar is backed with a piece of cream vintage wool Witney blanket to add structure and shape.
I would say the blanket is 90% wool and 10% cotton. There are some white flecks (cotton) to the blanket and a slight mark on the inside (please look at the photos).
Size S/M. Will fit UK size 8-14
I am 5ft 5.5" and UK size 10/12
Body length from neck seam to hem - 126cm
Width underarm to underarm - 62cm
The drop shoulder fit is designed to be generous and oversize and allow for a multi-size fit.
