This Coat is made from a piece of wonderful hand embroidered Romanian Textile from my collection. The bright colour embroidery is off-set by the Navy blue check, recycled wool tasseled throw it is combined with.
The Embroidery is all done by hand, using vivid colours on a wonderfully faded blue background. Often these types of embroidery are done on a black background. This one is both older, and rarer.
The Navy check throw is a fairly light weight wool throw to match the weight of the embroidered textile, and is very slightly speckled (as is visible in some pictures - though oddly, these seem more visible in images than in real life).
This all makes for a super comfortable coat with a wonderful drape.
Original fringing features on the reverse of the coat at a flattering 3/4 height, helping to elongate the look of the body.
Fringing features down both arms.
Trimmed with 100% cotton herringbone binding in Navy Blue.
Comes with a very thick removable sheepskin collar.
Duster Coat style with deep vintage inspired shawl collar and side slits. I would not recommend this coat be worn with a belt because it may obscure the fringing on the reverse.
Unlined, and without pockets. (I didn't want to interrupt the elegant long line of the garment.)
Please note there are areas of wear on some of the embroidery, and you will need to take care. This is the nature of using fabrics like these.

The drop shoulder fit is designed to be generous and oversize and allow for a multi-size fit.
