Here is a Kaftan dress made with a collection of Vintage Irish Linen tea towels, all with the most beautiful drape to the fabric.
The cream coloured neck detail and sleeve trim are completed using pieces of Vintage French Linen Sheets.
The fabrics have appealed to me both for their gorgeous colours, and for the wonderful prints. Blue/Aqua/Green for the front. Pink/white/red for the back.
The prints are so unique and some quite rare, particularly the green 'Exotic Glass' and the blue Chinoiserie scene on the front.
The shape is a generous Kaftan shape which can be worn loose, or belted as shown (belt not included - though do get in touch if you are after something similar as we make these too - for my other work)
This one of for the taller ladies out there. I am 5ft 5" and can really only wear this when belted as it brings the length up a little. So if you want to wear loose and not have it touching the ground, then you need to be taller than me.
